Services:
I offer telephone, online, and in-person sessions across a variety of days and times. I work between two locations, both through this website and through Sheffield Central Counselling. Both of these services are open to anybody, offer an online booking system, and offer in-person and remote sessions.
Tuesday Morning - 0930 - 1230 - Sheffield Central Counselling
Tuesday Afternoons - 1400 - 2000 - Alistair Thain Counselling
Wednesday - 1330 - 2000 - Sheffield Central Counselling
Thursday - 1430 - 2000 - Sheffield Central Counselling

Telephone Enquiries:
Price: Free
If you have had a look over the website and are still wondering if we are going to work well together, or have further questions, then this is why telephone enquiries are an option. This is a free 15-minute call to have a chat about the potential of working together, available through “Book Appointment” on Tuesday afternoons (1400-2000), and Fridays (0900-2000). Alternatively, if you do not like the idea of a phone call but still have questions, you are welcome to use the “Contact” option to email me. Whilst it is a therapy service, it should not be seen as a therapy session due to the shortness in length.
In Person Sessions:
Price: £50**
In-person sessions, or face-to-face sessions, are available at both locations I work. These sessions are great for people who prefer meeting in person and want a separate space to sit and talk. The sessions are 50 minutes in length, and are held in counselling rooms that are warm, comfortable, and private. These sessions are also available later in the evenings to best accommodate people's availability. Longer sessions are also available (Currently, only though my private practice) for anybody that feels that they need or want more than the traditional 50 minutes.
* Sheffield Central Counselling’s prices are changing as of April 1st 2025 to £55 per individual session.
* The longer sessions are priced at £80, this is to reflect their increased duration.
Online & Telephone Sessions:
Price: £50**
Online and telephone sessions are great as they offer the chance to have a counselling session in a space where you feel most comfortable, or is most convenient for you. On the days that I work through this website, I also have the option for “longer one-to-one sessions” which are 1 hour and 20 minutes long as opposed to the normal 50-minute sessions. These longer sessions are great for anybody who feels the normal 50 minutes is not quite enough. For online and telephone sessions, I typically use phone calls or Zoom, depending on the client's preference for video. However, I am always open to using different platforms and methods, all you have to do is ask.
